Fallen Angel

The tears fall throughout the night
He longs to be able to hold her tight
She’s no longer by his side
It’s been 3 months since she died

3 months since they said goodbye
3 months since he watched her die
3 months of recurring nightmares
3 months of pity-filled stares

Every time he closes his eyes
He sees her where on the ground she lies
With her life just slipping away
The memory is as clear as yesterday

He’ll cry and shout and scream
Wishing it was all a dream
Reality is too much to bare
He lives his life hardly aware

He misses her so much
He longs for her gentle touch
Her soft whisper of “I love you.”
Misses replying with “Love you too.”

She was cut down in her prime
He wishes they’d had more time
He’s now in his own personal hell
With the loss of his fallen angel

Just did the odd non-friend trusted people thing...you were on it...decided to stalk you a little - glad I did</small *trembles a little* Simply beautiful, and incredibly moving. Love the fact that you managed to make it rhyme without it sounding forced...talent! Keep being torn between wanting to watch "Heroes" again, and thinking I won't be able to stand it!

Thank you very much. It was pretty... well, I won't say easy to write... but it came easily up until the last verse which gave me some grief.

I first watched it on squinty, so I watched it again actually on TV... still got me... still made me feel ill... still made me sob my eyes out. *sighs*

I was feeling ill when I first watched "Part 2" (I had food poisoning), but it did make me feel even worse. :( Don't think I have ever cried so much during a TV show!

No problem. And I haven't cried that much at a TV show/film/book... the only time I've cried that much before was when my granddad died!
