So apparently our men's team really likes single elimination games?

And we have Kemba Walker and you don't!

Just a few from the cruise. These were all taken with the iPhone because all the photos from cameras are on my mum's laptop

Pictures! )

So, I didn't take as many pictures on my iPhone as I thought - especially of the middle of the trip, so more will have to wait til I can get the mother's laptop away from her!

Apparently I should have waited to write pirates fic, because this Christmas I get to have first hand experience of the Caribbean!

15 day cruise, 9 Caribbean islands, spending Christmas and New Year's at sea!

I'm choosing my excursions now - SO exciting!

(Plus, the Queen Mary 2 has the largest library at sea! And a book group!)

ETA: Does anyone have any experience/recommendations, because there's SO MUCH to choose from! We'll be visiting Grant Turk, Tortola, St. Maarten, Curacao, Grenada, Barbados, St. Lucia, St. Kitts and St. Thomas. I AM SO EXCITED!

Wow.

Six months and 42,000 words later, I've just posted my [livejournal.com profile] rpf_big_bang fic!

It's women's basketball, but it's an AU, so you shouldn't need to be too familiar with all the nuances to understand it.

Summary: Bird, Sue. 1700-1756. Captain of the Storm (~1719-1729) who authored a series of books after she retired to Bermuda with her lover. See also: Taurasi, Diana. (Jeré Longman, An Index of Pirates in the Americas: 1600-1800 (New York: Routledge, 2008), 10.

The masterpost to the fic can be found here and then [livejournal.com profile] etc_and_so_on did some amazing artwork for it here

Nothing fictional about these. Just a list of references, because the historian in me insists. Wish I kidding!

Really wish I was kidding! )
