K's birthday today, so when H and I went to Tesco on Monday, we got her a birthday cake and candles.
A Scooby Doo birthday cake (which we spent about 15 minutes debating over!)
The candles - especially the relighting ones which spark! - created a bit more smoke than we expected, so we had the window in the kitchen wide open, fanning the smoke out of it, eyeing the smoke alarm warily.
Thankfully it didn't go off! Because that would have been bad and meant a £50 fine!!
It's H's birthday next Wednesday, so that mean's another cake. Cake is good.
